Our journey began in 1973 when we opened Bakos Medical Laboratory — at a time when Alexandria had only a handful of medical laboratories.
In 1974, after the October victory, Egypt entered a period of economic opening towards western technology. Advanced western equipment replaced older eastern equipment, and our journey of a thousand miles began. It continues to this day as we keep adopting the latest high-quality, high-productivity equipment — medical laboratory testing has advanced remarkably and become a cornerstone of diagnosis.
Over time we expanded: El-Galaa Laboratory opened in 1995 to serve the Victoria district, followed by Syria Laboratory in 2010 to serve the Roushdy district.
At every stage our strategy has been to keep upgrading our equipment and techniques, to use the finest reagents, and to treat our patients with humanity and fair pricing — and we believe God always rewards those who do their work well.
Our motto has always been, and will remain: Pioneering & Upgrading
